The day of the sinking of the most famous passenger ship in the world is now 100 years old. Everyone knows the tragedy of the Titanic, whether young or old. The elegant steamer was to be used in the prestigious transatlantic service of the White Star Line. But already on the maiden voyage to New York on April 14, 1912 at 11:40 p.m. (time on board) the Titanic collided with an iceberg. The ship touches the iceberg on the starboard side and sinks into the icy waters of the Atlantic after two hours and forty minutes. Only 712 people survived the disaster.
